WHAT IS GSA MAS

GSA Schedule (also referred to as Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) and Federal Supply Schedule) is a long-term Government-wide contract providing Federal, state, and local Government buyers with access to more than 11 million commercial supplies (products) and services at pre-negotiated pricing.

Schedule orders can be awarded on a sole-source or brand-name basis following an approved Limited Sources Justification (LSJ – see FAR 8.405-6 for procedures). Sole-source or brand-name orders must be posted to the public within 14 days after placing the order on sam.gov for a minimum of 30 days (see FAR 8.405-6(a)(2)). FAR part 6 does not apply to LSJs under MAS.

Ordering procedures for GSA Schedule contracts fall under FAR 8.4 and are detailed in GSA’s Ordering Guide which is be found here. Contract types for orders may include (i) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP); (ii) Time-and-Materials (T&M); (iii) Labor-Hour; and (iv) Hybrids of any of these types, e.g., FFP with T&M Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs).

Taurean’s GSA Schedule is posted in the GSA Library.
